A mum who gave birth to quintuplets four months ago has shared breathtaking photos of her five babies.
Kim Tucci, 26, from Perth, began documenting her babies’ journey on her ‘Surprised by Five‘ Facebook page when she found out she was pregnant.
Photographer Erin Elizabeth, who took pictures of Tucci during her pregnancy, has since photographed the babies’ first months.
Baby Keith and his four sisters Ali, Penelope, Tiffany and Beatrix, are depicted nestled in a woollen blanket in a giant wooden bowl.
The photograph received more than 23,000 Facebook likes in less than 12 hours after being posted on Tucci’s Facebook on Monday night.
During her pregnancy, Tucci had to consume 6000 calories a day to keep the babies nourished.
“I’m finding it hard to eat as I basically have no room left in my stomach and the way it is positioned it’s pushed all the way back with the babies leaning against it. During a quintuplet pregnancy it’s recommended that I be taking in 6000 calories a day,” Tucci wrote.
“I’m struggling to eat and force feed myself leaving me with reflux for hours. I can’t tolerate a lot of dairy and I can’t keep protein drinks down, I’m starting to lose weight when I really need to be gaining it.”
Kim’s Gran has set up a GoFundMe page to assist with the cost of a van, and they’re currently one third of the way to making their dream of running errands together a reality.
