Survivors of Indonesia’s tsunami are being warned there’s still a risk of further giant destructive waves.

Authorities are asking people to avoid the coastline near an erupting volcano, which remains unstable.

Part of it collapsed last week, triggering a landslide and tsunami which killed around 430 people.

Wilem Rampangilie is the country’s head of tsunami mitigation.

“We have encouraged people to stay away from the coast,” he said.

“We’ll see in a couple of days. We’re still doing the assessment of the damage and loss and we’re also learning about possibility of relocating people.”
