Report: Woman punched in face and another pulled to the floor by her hair during attack

A woman was punched in the face and another pulled to the floor by her hair during a late night attack.

The attack happened at around 12.30am on Sunday July 26 when three friends were walking along South Street, Ilkeston, following a night out.

Police say they got into an argument with a group of people near the USA Chicken takeaway and one woman was punched in the face. The other woman was pulled to the floor by her hair and kicked.

The women, aged 19 and 20, were left with facial injuries and police are now appealing for witnesses.

No arrests have yet been made.

The force said CCTV shows several people were in the area at the time of the incident, who they would like to speak to.

But footage or pictures have not been released as of yet by Derbyshire police.
