Capcom’s new action-adventure game, Pragmata, is coming later than expected. According to a video presentation shown by Sony at CES 2021 on Monday, Pragmata is now scheduled to be released sometime in 2023.
When Capcom unveiled Pragmata to the world at Sony’s PlayStation 5 “Future of Gaming” event in June 2020, the publisher announced the mysterious new game as a 2022 release for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. Capcom’s plans appear to have changed, however, which is not particularly surprising after numerous game delays were announced last year as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
We’ve reached out to Capcom to confirm that Pragmata’s new 2023 release window is accurate. (Capcom’s press site and the Pragmata Twitter account still show a 2022 release window.)
And while Pragmata’s delay may be disappointing, Sony’s sizzle reel also included a release date that feels earlier than expected: Square Enix’s similarly mysterious new game, Project Athia — a title from the Final Fantasy 15 development team — is scheduled for release in January 2022. Project Athia is destined for PS5 and Windows PC. Square Enix has not yet announced a release date.
Other release dates and windows listed as part of Sony’s PS5 sizzle reel are:
