Céline Dion commemorated her late husband René Angélil’s death with a touching Instagram post.
On Thursday — five years after Angélil died of cancer at age 73 — Dion, 52, posted a photo of the couple holding hands on the beach.
“There’s not one day that we don’t think about you,” she captioned a photo. “We’re reaching out to you now more than ever, to guide us, protect us, and continue to watch over us.
“And we pray that you’ll shine your love on the entire world, to all those at this very moment, who are facing incredibly difficult times. You are in our hearts and in our lives forever. We love you, Celine, René-Charles, Nelson and Eddy xx…”
The message was also translated into her native French.

Dion was married to Angélil from 1994 until his death in 2016. They welcomed three children during their marriage, René-Charles, 19, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 10.
The “My Heart Will Go On” singer revealed that she was still in love with Angélil in 2019, telling Andy Cohen, “I don’t date, I don’t have a boyfriend, and you know, it doesn’t mean that I will not find someone in my life. If I do, that would be great. If I don’t, that will be great because I’m still in love.”
