The Colorado man who allegedly traveled to Washington, D.C., with a cache of weapons and thousands of rounds of ammunition in the hopes of assassinating House Speaker Nancy Pelosi last week was ordered held without bail at a court hearing Thursday.

Cleveland Meredith will remain behind bars until his trial on charges of transmitting a threat, possession of an unregistered firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition, a Politico reporter tweeted.

Meredith allegedly drove his truck and an attached trailer to the nation’s capital on Jan. 6 as mob of enraged Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol in an effort to overturn the results of the presidential election, according to a criminal compliant filed in Washington.

Meredith, hauling 2,500 rounds of ammunition, fired off angry text messages about how he wanted to kill Pelosi and DC Mayor Muriel Bowser when he arrived in the city, according to the complaint.

“We’re gonna surround DC and slowly constrict,” he wrote in one of the messages.

“I’m gonna collect a s–t ton of Traitors heads,” said another. “Hauling ass, 3.5 hours from target practice…. It ain’t just me, someone has to take the TRASH out, FK THESE MTHRFKRS.”

Meredith arrived to the city after the mob had been thrown out of the Capitol and was arrested before he could shoot anyone, according to court documents.

He did get into a tiff with another DC motorist, who he head butted and assaulted after knocking him to the ground, according to prosecutors.
