Web Reacts To Twitter’s Donald Trump Ban With Memes; Netizens Watching Melania Trump’s Account – Thebritishjournal

President Donald Trump’s personal Twitter account has been banned permanently, and social media users wasted no time in responding with snarky memes.

On Friday, Twitter announced its decision to permanently ban the account @realDonaldTrump “due to the risk of further incitement of violence” following Wednesday’s riot at the Capitol. The move was celebrated by celebrities, journalists, companies, political figures and netizens, who took to Twitter with a multitude of reactions.

“It’s now safe to turn off your computer,” Microsoft tweeted. Mark Hamill tweeted a screenshot of the suspended Trump account, writing: “And how is YOUR day going?”

“This is the first time a sitting president has been banned from Twitter going back to 1812,” Dave Brown wrote.
