“One Piece” Chapter 1001 is reportedly giving fans some clues as to why Big Mom is such a dangerous opponent.
Fans of the popular manga are still not over “One Piece” Chapter 1000. However, spoilers for the next chapter, courtesy of Twitter user Stairskun, already offer some details that might upset fans. Among them is what makes Big Mom a tough opponent, aside from her overly intimidating Devil Fruit power and superhuman strength.
“One Piece” Chapter 1001 spoilers reveal that Big Mom has done her homework of getting to know her enemies. She is aware that Zoro is a former pirate hunter who trained with Dracule Mihawk, the Greatest Swordsman in the World. The spoilers also claim that the captain of the Big Mom Pirates knows about Trafalgar Law’s abilities. When Law reportedly tries to use them, Charlotte Linlin stops him.
Considering her age, Big Mom barely forgets about details. The spoilers reveal that she remembers that Eustass Kid destroyed her ships and injured Smoothies’ eyes. It is possible that she is also aware of the background of all the pirates referred to as Supernovas and Worst Generation.
Big Mom’s knack for knowing details about her enemies allows her to thoroughly plan her moves and be several steps ahead of them. “One Piece” fans saw that when she sent Bege Capone to fetch Sanji prior to his arranged wedding with Charlotte Pudding. Sanji could have resisted the invitation but Big Mom blackmailed and threatened him that she would kill his friends in Baratie.
While Kaido is the strongest creature in the world, Big Mom is probably the second, if not on the same level. Aside from her physical strength, she has superhuman durability because of her thick skin, which Sanji and Bege compared to an iron balloon. She can also use haki, making her several levels far more powerful than her basic state.
Big Mom really hates Luffy and her crew and vowed that she would kill the Straw Hats’ captain. With her teaming up with Kaido, beating them down could be the most challenging task for Luffy and other Supernovas. But it is still too early to tell who will emerge victorious in the ongoing war in Onigashima.
“One Piece” Chapter 1001 reportedly arrives on Jan. 17.
