Selena Gomez’s Tweet Slamming Fb & Twitter’s CEOs After The U.S. Capitol Riots Is Searing – Thebritishjournal

Selena Gomez is contributing to the conversation surrounding the Jan. 6 coup of Capitol Hill. The singer took to Twitter to say major social media conglomerates are in part responsible for the spread of hatred in the U.S. and must be held accountable. Selena Gomez’s tweet slamming social media CEOs following the U.S. capitol riots has since been retweeted by thousands of people, and made a fair point.

In her Jan. 6 post following the chaos in Washington D.C., Gomez had a message for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, and YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki. She tagged each executive in her tweet, before delving into a heated message as to why they need to do better.

“Today is the result of allowing people with hate in their hearts to use platforms that should be used to bring people together and allow people to build community,” she wrote, before once again naming the tech leaders in her post. “You have all failed the American people today, and I hope you’re going to fix things moving forward.”
