These Bridgerton Stars Bought Very Coy When Requested About Off-Display screen Relationship Rumors – Thebritishjournal

Perhaps Regé-Jean Page said it best when he described Bridgerton as “Regency, swiping left” in the new interview with Access Hollywood posted on January 9.

“It’s like the period dramas that you know and love, but faster, funnier, wittier, sexier altogether more glamorous,” Page also said. “Like a great big wrapped Christmas present of a Jane Austin [novel] meets Gossip Girl.” The Shonda Rhimes-produced romance series is sexy, alright!

Although the Gossip Girl comparison is an easy one to make—the premise of the Netflix series also relies on a mysterious narrator spreading local gossip—there’s another similarity to explore: Considering that Bridgerton had the 5th biggest premiere in Netflix history, the show is undoubtedly poised to launch its cast into superstardom. Page himself is already swatting away James Bond rumors!

So it makes a sort of sense that the Access Hollywood hosts asked Page and his costar Phoebe Dynevor to dish on any romances that happened off-camera as well. I mean, we all remember the Blake Lively-Penn Badgley saga, don’t we?

However, the Bridgerton stars remained coy. “I think that everything you need to know is on camera,” Page replied. “All the sparks that flew came off of the beautiful scripts we were handed. So I think that the sparky words, scripts, and material were more than enough.”

Dynevor didn’t respond, but one of the hosts noted that both actors were “blushing.” You can watch the full interview, below.

So yeah, there could be so much going on behind the scenes than we know about, but we’ll just have to wait and see if any of the other cast members crack. Perhaps Nicola Coughlan will spill?

One thing’s for sure: the on-screen chemistry between all of the Bridgerton stars are off the charts. Glamour counted at least 17 sex scenes in the eight-episode series, but the show’s intimacy coordinator told us that there are even more intimate moments that didn’t make the cut. “There were a lot more characters that had a lot more to do that you didn’t actually get to see,” Lizzy Talbot said. “I want to say nearly in the double digits.”

It would be shocking if no one caught feelings…that’s all I am saying.
